Love of Lace

OK, so wasn't Kate's dress beautiful! She looked absolutely stunning.
All my friends & family will tell you that I am a real girly-girl, therefore, it's only natural that I love lace. Here are a few of my favourite lace inspired items - most of them I have already blogged about, but here they are all together.

Wedding Fever

I'm going to a friend's place tonight to drink bubbles and watch William & Kate share their vows. It's a pretty big deal here with all sorts of parties, even the shop keepers are getting in the spirit and dressing up in tiaras and top hats. I have to admit, I'm not really a big Royalist, but I am looking forward to seeing what everyone is wearing - it should be fun.
I was going to show you a whole lot of Royal paraphernalia, as there is so much around - wallpaper, cushions, posters, royal teabags... but instead I am going to show some photos of another wedding. Everything about this wedding makes me smile, and it makes me want to get married all over again so I can do it just like this...

Lilly Pulitzer Furniture - part two

As promised, here are some individual pics of some of my favourite Lilly Pulitzer pieces.
I found it hard to narrow them down, as I love all of them. But there are a few more for you to see here. What I love are the colours, the clean lines, and the little feminine touches.

And here is my absolute favourite. Not only gorgeous but practical too. And I have to give credit to the lovely Arianna from Arianna Belle, which is where I first spied this beauty.

Lilly Pulitzer Furniture - part one

I discovered Lilly Pulitzer in a round-about way. I was watching Cougar Town, season 1,
(so funny!) and fell in love with Courtenay Cox's sunglasses. I googled "Courtenay Cox, sunglasses, season 1, episode 3" and guess what, I wasn't the only one who loved them. Somebody else pointed me in the right direction - they are Lilly Pulitzer sunglasses. I bought them, and since then I am always checking out the L.P. range - so gorgeous. I'm so excited as they have a new furniture collection arriving soon. What do you think...? I wonder if they could ship a container of it to me here in New Zealand?!

If you come back tomorrow I will show you some of my favourite individual pieces.
PS: these are the sunnies...

Alphabet Bunting

Today I've got something for you from another one of my talented friends. Renee often has a few projects on the go at once, as well as looking after her gorgeous one year old son.
Her latest project is creating these amazing Alphabet Buntings - isn't she clever! If you would like Renee to make you one, drop her an email with your name or word. I'm sure she would be happy to discuss colour combinations or answer any questions you may have.
Each design includes a satin gift bag, ribbon and mini pegs.

En Gry & Sif

I hope you've all had a wonderful Easter. I'm sure you've been bombarded with Easter images if you've been online and reading blogs. Sorry, but I couldn't resist these gorgeous images from En Gry & Sif - a Danish design company which creates these fabulous felt products.
I heart Scandinavian design!

Sneak Peek

I love taking a sneaky peek into other people's homes to see how they decorate, and how it reflects their personality. This gorgeous home belongs to Jen of Made by Girl blog and shop. I love Jen's blog, it's one of the ones I make sure to visit regularly. Isn't her home divine?!
All that white makes it so fresh & airy, with the sophistication of the black contrast, and then the splashes of pink and colour to soften it. I love the entrance with it's beautiful high ceiling, and that daybed! What's your favourite?
